Challenge and Motivation

• Powder costs have a large share on component costs.
• According to the state of the art grain size in the range 15-60 μm is used for SLM.

Objective

• Production of coarser powder particles has potential for saving powder production costs.
• Influence of coarser powder on component and material properties hast to be investigated.
