How to optimize the dressing process in CMC grinding in terms of dressing tools and dressing parameters?
Challenge and Motivation
- Design of the dressing process in CMC grinding is often based on experience with other materials such as monolithic ceramics or other two-phase materials such as cemented carbides.
- However, a knowledge-based dressing process design is not yet known.
Objective
- Identification of an optimized dressing strategy for a CMC grinding process with regards to dressing tools and dressing parameters.
