Challenge and Motivation
- Conventional Ni- and Co-based alloys with higher strength are difficult to process via AM.
- Powder suppliers are developing high temperature superalloys designed for AM with superior properties.
Objective
- In Project 3.6 (2023) parameter sets for LPBF and LMD manufacturing of ABD900-AM and AD730 were developed.
- In this follow-up project the geometrical limitations of ABD900-AM and AD730 parts are investigated.
